Message From Our Chairman

Chairman and Founder: Christopher M. Dawson

Ke Welina!  Greetings!

Welcome to the Hawaiian Native Corporation, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing economic opportunities for the Native Hawaiian community.  Our web site provides information on our community programs and subsidiary firms and celebrates the successes of our people yesterday, today, and for years to come.

In 1994, our subsidiary firm, Dawson Group, Inc. set out to be a premier environmental remediation firm and demonstrate that doing business in Hawai`i with Hawaiian values can exceed client expectations, a goal we have achieved and continue to strive for with each opportunity.  Through our dedication to technical, business, and ethical excellence, we have been able to have considerable community impact for Native Hawaiians and the State of Hawai`i through leadership development, industry growth, job creation, small business opportunities, and revenue streams for non-profit activities.

Through hard work from Hawaiian firms, the Small Business Administration, and Hawai`i's Congressional Delegation, the Native Hawaiian Organizations program was birthed in 2003, rapidly increasing the potential for Hawaiian firms to compete and succeed in the federal marketplace.  With this tool, the collective impact from our business community has tremendous potential to create needed resources, as we remain firmly planted in the knowledge that the work we do is embedded in the passion we have for the Native Hawaiian community and the people of Hawai`i.

From whichever part of this global community you come, we invite to stay a while and explore the incredible things people in our community do each day and the future we are creating.  We are honored to play but a role in this incredible story.

Mālama pono,

Christopher M. Dawson
